Maureen Denise McCormick, the only child from Richard McCormick, and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. She was the home of her mother as a mother. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick started dancing and singing in her early years and frequently performed puppet shows in front of the kids in her community. Her rise to fame as a fairytale began when she was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest in the age group of 6 which led to being contacted by talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who asked if she'd like to be in show business. McCormick got her first big job when she was cast in the commercial for television that was broadcast in 1964 of Mattels new baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she appeared in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial before being cast in the show Wind It Up and It's Breaks at The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was selected from a field of 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance to be the youngest of three towheaded girls on the new TV sitcom The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The show lasted for five years. McCormick's autobiography Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in 2008. In it she revealed that McCormick was close to losing her virginity on set of the series during the fifth season, when she was a victim to Barry Williams. He was 19 years old. She was 16. She said that it would be possible, however it was never the best timing.
